MAP Charity (Music and Arts Production) exists to support young people aged 11-16, who are at risk of permanent exclusion from mainstream education. We offer vital, empowering music and arts qualifications, and provide our students with an inspiring place to learn. Here, they have a safe and permanent space where creativity can flourish.
Alongside our work with young people, we support a community of local creative partners: from mastering engineers to graphic designers, we offer space and support and in return our partners provide students with enhanced learning, valuable work experience and professional development opportunities.
Cosmic Slop is MAP Charity’s regular in-house fundraising event, held in the Hope House Gallery. The events play host to some of the finest local selectors and internationally acclaimed DJs alike, playing records through a unique, custom built sound system. 100% of funds raised goes directly towards supporting the education project, ensuring the charity can continue delivering creative education to young people.
